Kadarius Toney left the game for the New York Giants at the start of the fourth quarter with an apparent left thumb injury. He was taken to the locker room. Toney had four receptions for 26 yards. Toney did return to the game.
The New York Giants continued to be plagued by injuries at the wide receiver position on Monday night against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Veteran wide receiver Sterling Shepard, who had missed three of the past four games with hamstring injuries, left the game just before halftime with a quad injury. He is out for the remainder of the game.
Shepard, the Giants’ leading receiver, had four catches for 25 yards before being injured.
Wide receiver Dante Pettis suffered a shoulder injury after trying to recover a punt he had muffed. Pettis was ruled out of the game.
Wide receiver Kenny Golladay is not playing, missing his third straight game with a knee injury. Wide receiver/kick returner C.J. Board is out for the season with a broken forearm.
The Giants’ offense is also missing running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) and left tackle Andrew Thomas, on IT with foot and ankle injuries.
