As Kevin Durant’s shot at the end of overtime hung in the air, Jrue Holiday had a bad feeling.
“As I see the ball as I turn around, it’s right on line,” Holiday said. “So that’s scary.”
It was tough to blame him for feeling impending doom with that ball dropping towards the rim. Durant had already scored 48 points on the night and five minutes earlier, he had hit nearly the exact same shot over Bucks forward P.J. Tucker to force overtime. This time, however, it was well short. The Bucks sealed what would end up being a 115-111 overtime Game 7 win in Brooklyn to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second time in three seasons.
