The Green Bay Packers will be going through their three-day minicamp without their disgruntled MVP quarterback.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Rodgers is not expected to report for the start of the minicamp on Tuesday.

The development is expected but still a noteworthy step in the ongoing saga between the quarterback and team.

Rodgers’ absence would be his first at a mandatory event since the start of his conflict with the Packers organization. He skipped the first two phases of the offseason workout program, but everything was voluntary, including OTAs.

According to Schefter, the Packers could fine Rodgers a little over $93,000 for missing the three days or could grant him an excused absence and waive the fines.

Team president Mark Murphy said the Packers are still trying to find a resolution with Rodgers, the 2020 NFL MVP.

If Rodgers doesn’t report on Tuesday, second-year quarterback Jordan Love would handle a majority of the first-team reps as he did during OTAs, and he’ll finally have all his receivers available.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported earlier Monday that the Packers receivers that skipped OTAs, including Davante Adams, are expected to report to minicamp on Tuesday.

The Packers also have veteran Blake Bortles and former Atlanta Falcon Kurt Benkert available behind Love at quarterback.
