KANSAS CITY — A lot of the Yankees’ pitching staff is up in the air. They don’t know who will start Wednesday vs. the Royals. They don’t know who will start Saturday vs. the White Sox.
But they did announce their starting pitcher for the Field of Dreams game on Tuesday.
Lefty Andrew Heaney will take the mound for the Yankees vs. White Sox pitcher Carlos Rodon for the game in Dyersville, Iowa.

The Yankees acquired Heaney from the Angels before the trade deadline. In his first start in pinstripes, he gave up four home runs in a loss.
He was better his second time out, giving up four runs in his first two innings but throwing another four scoreless in a win over the Mariners.
Heaney will be starting on regular four days’ rest.
He’ll be pitching in a band box. It’s 300 feet to left field, 315 feet to right and just over 350 feet to the dead center.
To add Heaney, the Yankees at the time designated reliever Sal Romano for assignment.
