Rams fans prefer John Wolford to Jared Goff - Turf Show Times

The Los Angeles Rams took it down to the wire, with the fate of their playoff standing hanging in balance in the final week of the regular season. But they beat a divisional foe in the Arizona Cardinals, to earn a postseason berth, and set up a battle with another divisional foe: the Seattle Seahawks.

But just because the Rams made it in doesn’t mean everything is smooth. With Jared Goff nursing a dislocated thumb, the Rams turned to John Wolford, who had never played in an NFL game. Wolford had an inspired performance, and it was fun to see the Rams open up the run options in the playbook to take advantage of his legs.

Do the Rams have a tough quarterback decision to make? Who knows. They might find it to be a very easy decision.

But what we do know is that you, the vocal fans, think Wolford earned a second start. According to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey (which you should sign up for, by the way), more than three quarters of Rams fans want Wolford to be under center on Saturday.

There may be a quarterback controversy, but fans are still feeling optimistic about the team. Fan confidence more than doubled after the Week 17 win, with 78% of Rams fans saying the team is headed in the right direction, after just 36% thought so last week.

The Rams are part of a souped-up playoff field this season and the NFL hopes to make a big splash with the six games this weekend. One of those games, between the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints, will be broadcast on Nickelodeon along with other, more traditional viewing options.

That decision was clearly made in hopes of attracting a younger fanbase. But the general fanbase is far less excited, as only 20% of fans said they will watch any of the Nickelodeon broadcast. Keeping in line with that, only about a third of NFL fans thought expanding the broadcast to a children’s station was a smart idea.
