Lightning vs. Canadiens Game 5: Stanley Cup Final score, highlights, updates as Tampa Bay looks to end series - CBSSports.com

The Montreal Canadiens were able to stay in the Stanley Cup Final when they came away with a 3-2 overtime victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 4 on Monday. Canadiens forward Josh Anderson scored the game-winning goal off a rebound 3:57 into the overtime period to propel Montreal to the season-saving win.

One of the biggest reasons Montreal won Game 4 was the play of Anderson who also opened the scoring in the first period with a beautiful goal in front off a picture-perfect pass from teammate Nick Suzuki. It was the second time in the postseason that Anderson scored two goals in a game. In games that Anderson scores in the 2021 postseason, the Canadiens are 3-0.

Additionally, the Lightning's offense wasn't its lethal self throughout Game 4. Forwards Barclay Goodrow and Pat Maroon did get into the scoring column, even though Lightning did outshoot the Canadiens 34-21. Canadiens goalie Carey Price, however, came up huge on several occasions as he stopped 32 shots on the night. The biggest factor may have been that the Lightning went 0-for-5 on their power-play opportunities in Game 4.

CBS Sports will be with you every step of the way as the Canadiens and Lightning face off in Game 5, which is set for 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
