Twitter reacts to BYU’s loss to Coastal Carolina - Deseret News

As was to be expected, Twitter users had some strong reactions to the 13th-ranked BYU Cougars’ dramatic 22-17 loss to the 18th-ranked Coastal Carolina Chanticleers on Saturday night.

While Cougar fans were generally devastated, many national observers noted how great of a game it was. Naturally, a contingent of Utah Utes fans chimed in, with some rubbing in the loss and others commiserating with BYU supporters.

BYU fans

I haven’t watched too much BYU football this year, but love Coach Sitake and Zach. So cool they took the chance and made that game happen. They will be kicking themselves for bad drops, play calls and timeouts. But in a rough year, they made it fun. Well done Cougars.

Coastal Carolina DC Chad Staggs and that defense went from prepping for Liberty and Freeze's offense midweek to BYU and Zach Wilson and held a Cougars attack that was averaging 48 points to only 17 tonight. Strong.
