COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State football is 4-1 in Big Ten Championship games, with the wins coming against just two schools.
Three victories have been over Wisconsin. Saturday, the Buckeyes will play Northwestern for second time. It was always the goal to get back to Indianapolis on the way to the College Football Playoff. But this wasn’t the expected route.
Ohio State’s seen its season canceled, brought back, had a rivalry game along with two others canceled and suffered a week-long outbreak. Despite just five games played, it demonstrated why it was the most worthy East Division team to play in Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday.
Indianapolis is the last stop for a team eager to stamped its ticket to a second consecutive College Football Playoff bid. Win and they’re in. Lose and leave matters in the hands of committee members.
