The Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns have released their first injury reports of the week on Wednesday. Both teams had quite a few players listed to start out the week.

  • If any player receives treatment, they’re required by the league to be listed on the injury report.
  • A few new injuries for the Chiefs include the oblique injury to Mecole Hardman and the shoulder injury to Trey Smith.
  • Frank Clark remains limited by his hamstring injury, we’ll monitor his practice status throughout the week because it’ll be important as it relates to his ability to play on Sunday.
  • Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, who didn’t participate in the preseason due to a broken bone in his hand, was a full participant in practice.
  • Reminder: The Chiefs don’t have to list Tyrann Mathieu being on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on the injury report.

  • Browns DE Jadeveon Clowney was absent from practice with a non-COVID sickness per Kevin Stefanski.
  • Quite a few injuries in the secondary to monitor, specifically Grant Delpit, Greedy Williams and Troy Hill — all of whom didn’t play during the AFC divisional round game between KC and Cleveland.
  • Two receivers being limited in practice for the Browns is something to monitor moving forward.
